(UNESCO) Multi-sectoral Regional Officer, Mr Lamine Sow, Meets Okowa at the Government House in Asaba

November 12, 2020 it was a pleasure to receive the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Multi-sectoral Regional Officer, Mr Lamine Sow, at the Government House in Asaba.

At the meeting, I emphasized the importance of empowering women and girls in Nigeria and across Africa. This is because any investment in the lives of this critical demographic, has the primary and secondary effect of benefiting the society positively.

I thank UNESCO for their great work in the lives of women and girls, and for considering Delta State as one of the three states that are currently involved in the project implementation of its new programmes.
