Reno Omokri has requested that President Muhammadu Buhari consider an Igbo military officer to replace Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, the former Chief of Army Staff, who died in an air crash last Friday, May 21.
According to Reno, this act will aid in the end of the secessionist struggle. He composed:
”Guns, bullets, and helicopter gunships are not the greatest method to combat the growth of secessionists in the Southeast. Allow them to grow. Put an end to your nepotism. Appointments should be fair and balanced. Consider replacing General Attahiru with an Igbo man. Get rid of the 97 percent vs 5% attitude.
Igbophobia must be overcome.
Each Igbo state should be visited (Buhari has not visited Igboland since the 2019 election). Make Igbo monarchs the pro-chancellors of Northern Nigeria’s federal universities. Pursue an additional state for the Southeast as part of the Constitutional Reform process, so that it is on par with other geopolitical zones. Encourage a major political party to consider a presidential candidate from the Igbo ethnic group. Accept Igbos, and Nigeria will accept Igbos.”
