Obasanjo: Rumors That Buhari Is Dead And Will Be Replaced By Sudanese Jibril Are False

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has dismissed reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is dead and has been replaced by a Sudanese man named Jubril.
On Sunday, he said this while addressing at a youth mentoring session in Ogun.
The rumor, according to Obasanjo, is an example of how social media is being abused.
Obasanjo told the audience of a time when someone approached him and asked if he believed the rumor.
He said: “Someone came to me, full of hope, and said, ‘this nonsense about Buhari not being Buhari…’,” he remarked. ‘Do you believe this?’ I asked. ‘Well, it’s on social media,’ he explained. ‘Buhari died, and we won’t know it?’ I said. And they’re going to send us a Sudanese man to be Buhari?’
“It’s ludicrous to the point of absurdity. However, you can see people believing it on social media. Although social media has been beneficial, it can also be overused and misused.
