Governor Zulum of Borno State assigned 1000 hunters to Protecting Farmers from Boko Haram in Borno State

The Bornu State Governor, Babagana Zulum has assigned 1000 hunters to protect Farmers in four different local government of the state.

The governor flagged off the appointment of the hunters on Thursday at Khaddamari, the Headquarter of Jere. He stated that the farmers will be protected within a radius of 15kilometers of Maiduguri Metropolis, Khaddamari, Konduga and Mafa towns.
The councils to be protected by the hunters from Boko Haram’s attack include Maiduguri Metropolis, Jere, Konduga and Mafa Local Government areas.

The Governor, Babagana Zulum said, the security architecture in the state would be reviewed to sustained the gradual restoration of peace across the state and border areas of Niger, Chad and Cameroon.
He said in his address “to subdue the insurgents, it is strategically important to be committed to ending the insurgency that has claimed many lives and properties”. He noted that this would bring and sustain peace and security of people’s lives and properties.
