47 Years After Being Sent To Buy Rice For His Family, A Kenyan Man Returns Home

This is shocking because a Kenyan man named James Mwaura, who went missing 47 years ago, has been reunited with his family in Molo, Nakuru County, owing to Facebook.
Mwaura, who is now 70 years old, went missing in 1974 when he was 23 years old after being dispatched to the store to buy rice for the family.
According to CitizenDigital, he became disoriented along the process and ended up in Nairobi with no money and no relatives to turn to after discovering that his brothers who remained in the capital had also relocated.
After that, he caught a ride to Naro Moru in Nyeri County, where he began a new life and later married a woman he met there.
Years later, he was perusing through Facebook, like everyone else these days, when he came across a vaguely familiar face.
In his inbox, he sent the person a message, and it turned out to be one of his nephews.
The two started up a dialogue and agreed to meet on Wednesday, July 22, before the family reunion on Thursday, July 22.
Mwaura, who was dressed in a blue suit when he arrived home, told the family that he is now happily married with three children and four grandchildren.
